How the notepad works

1. Start typing. Your note is saved to your browser automatically as you write, so a closed tab or a dropped connection loses nothing.
2. Use pads to keep separate notes: one for a draft, one for a list, one for scratch text. Switch between them from the selector above.
3. Download any pad as a .txt file, print it (or save as PDF from the print dialog), or create a read-only share link to send to anyone.

A notepad that stays out of your way

No account, no app to install, no sync spinner. Notes live in your browser's local storage on your device, which makes them instant to open and private by default. The only time anything leaves your device is when you click Share, and even then the link shows a read-only snapshot of that moment.

It pairs well with the rest of the site: draft here, then run the text through the word counter, the paraphraser, or the grammar checker without retyping anything.

Frequently asked questions

Where are my notes saved?

In your browser's local storage, on your device. They survive reloads and restarts. They do not follow you to another browser or device, and clearing site data deletes them, so download anything you cannot afford to lose.

What does the share link do?

Share uploads a read-only snapshot of the current pad and gives you a private link. Anyone with the link can read that snapshot. Edits you make afterwards are not reflected: share again to get a fresh link with the new text.

Are there limits?

You can keep up to 50 pads, a shared note can be up to 50,000 characters, and there is a daily cap on how many share links one visitor can create. Local notes have no word limit beyond what your browser's storage allows.

Can I export to PDF?

Yes. Click Print / PDF and choose "Save as PDF" in your browser's print dialog. For plain text files, use Download .txt instead.
